As a child I was raised to see if we could make something before we went out and bought it. This led to a lifetime of arts and crafts projects including sewing, dyeing, weaving, ceramics, wood-working, welding, metalsmithing, beading, silk screening, photography, stained glass and mosaics - to name a few.

At Day One Design, we share a passion for making things of all types, particularly home furnishings created in a natural way or that make use of reclaimed materials. To name a few of our recent endeavors: Quilts made from sentimental T-shirts, yarn dyed with plants from the garden, purses made from leather scraps, Lamps made from lumber off-cuts, and mosaic tables made from old tile and glass. The possibilities are endless.
